Event Outcomes

  • The immersion of the Ganesha idol, known as Ganesh Visarjan, is believed to destroy obstacles and take away the negative aspects of the house with it, leading to a fresh start.
  • Worshipping Lord Ganesha is a way to invoke blessings for good luck, wisdom, peace, prosperity, and happiness in life.

Cultural Department of Matoshri  Ashatai Kunawar Arts, Commerce and Science Women’s College,

Hinganghat organized seven days celebration of Ganesh Churthi Celebration dated on 27th August 2025 to 4th September 2025. During this session, cultural committee organized various types of acivities just like Modak Making Competition, Clay Making competition, Singing Competition. Responsibilities of this programme was given to students committee which was held for Ganesh Utsav Celebration.

FOUNDATION OF LORD GANESHA IDOL : 4th September 2025

On first day, we founded Ganpati’s idol. On this occasion, president of this programme was hounarable Dr. Umesh  Tulaskar sir. Chief guest of this programme was Dr. Nayana Tulaskar mam,Secretory of Vidya Vikas Education Society, Hinganghat. Mr. Nitesh Rode Sir, Principal Vidya Vikas Jr. College,Hinganghat, Dr. Sapna Jaiswal Mam, vice principal Matoshri Ashatai Kunawar Arts,Commerce and Science Women’s College, Hinganghat. All students sang lyric for Lord Ganesha.

Modak Making and Nutrition Week :- 29th August 2025

Matoshri Aashatai Kunawar Arts, Commerce and Science Women’s College, Hinganghat, the

Department of Home Economics organized a Modak Making Competition and Nutrition Week

celebration on 29th August 2025. The program was presided over by the Principal of the college, Dr.

Umesh Tulsakar. The chief guests included Vice-Principal Dr. Nayana Tulsakar, President of Inner

Wheel Club Kumud Vyas, Sarika Dongre, Vice-Principal Dr. Sapna Jaiswal, Dr. Rekha Nanwatkar, and

Head of Arts Department Miss Bhagyashree Sable. On this occasion, Dr. Rekha Nanwatkar gave special

guidance to the students on the importance of nutrition. Dr. Nayana Tulsakar also addressed the students

and provided valuable insights. The students participated enthusiastically, preparing a wide variety of

modaks and showcasing their culinary skills. In the competition, Miss Vaishnavi secured the first prize,

Samruddhi Duddhe won the second prize, and Khemika Parkhi won the third prize. The program began

with an introduction by Miss Asha Ghate, Head of the Home Economics Department. The event was

compered by Miss Meenakshi Pawade, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Miss Meenakshi

Jidgilwar. The wholehearted cooperation of the faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students

contributed to the grand success of the program

Clay (Idol) Making Competition :-  30th August/2025

Ganesh Idol-Making Competition was held by Home Economics Department.  Mr. Milind Savarkar guided the students on how to make Ganesh idols. In this workshop, students created a variety of attractive idols. While making the idols, they were also encouraged to understand the importance of environmental awareness. Anchoring was done by Miss Minakshi Pawade. Vote of thanks was done by Miss Asha Ghate. President of Vidya Vikas Education Society, Hinganghat honourable Dr. Umesh Tulaskar motivated the students for idol making competition.The program was successfully organized with the cooperation of all faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students from the Arts, Commerce, and Science departments of the college.

Ganpati Immersion :- 4th September 2025

On the day of Ganesh Visarjan, a traditional devotional song program was organized. This was followed by a Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the winners of various competitions held during the Ganesh Festival were felicitated and honored. The Ganesh idol was ceremoniously immersed at the hands of Dr. Umesh Tulsakar, President of Vidya Vikas Shikshan Sanstha, Dr. Nayana Tulsakar, Secretary of Vidya Vikas Shikshan Sanstha, and Mr. Nitesh Rode, Principal of Vidya Vikas Junior College.For the immersion, a band procession of Lord Ganesh was taken out. Later, the idol was immersed in an artificially prepared water vessel (Jalkumbh) at Tulsakar Lawn, situated nearby.All the students, professors, and non-teaching staff actively participated and extended their cooperation to make the program successful.
