A group of visionaries under the leadership of Shri. Panduranji Tulaskar established Vidya Vikas Education Society Hinganghat in 1984. Vidya Vikas Arts and Commerce College Samudrapur was established in 1989 and Science faculty was introduced in 2006 by Vidya Vikas Shikshan Sanstha, Hinganghat with a prime objective of “Karmanya Vadhikaraste Ma faleshu Kadachan”. Samudrapur is a tehsil situated about 70 km to the south of Nagpur in Wardha district.
At present, our educational society runs two senior and junior institutions, a high school, a primary school and vocational courses. The educational society has 165 employees and more than 5000 students. The education institution has laid its emphasis on education for the downtrodden and the poor that really form the major bulk of society in this rural area.

Matoshri Ashatai Kunnawar Arts, Commerce and Science college, Hinganghat is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University and a 5 years old premier Women institution in Wardha district imparting quality education to the students in the faculties of Arts, Commerce and Science. It is run by Vidya Vikas Education Society, Hinganghat, which comprises a team of social workers constituted with the mission of propagating education for the most needy, poor and backward sections of the region. The college is established in the year 2018.
The courses run by the institute are junior college (+ 2 Level) in Arts, Commerce and Science, B.Sc. (Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics and Physics); B.A. (English, Marathi, History, Political Science, Economics, Home Economics, Sociology, Marathi Literature and B. Com.
The institute also has skill-oriented courses in Vermicompost, Diversity of Butterfly, Gardening, Corporate & Income tax, Cake making etc. The institution has a Remedial Coaching Center, Competitive Examination Centre, NSS Unit, Women’s Study and Service Centre, Internal Complaint committee, Automated Library Facility with Reading Room and ICT rooms.
