The Faculty Development Programme corrodingly organized by Vidya Vikas College, Samudrapur and Matoshri Ashatai Kunawar Womens College, Hinganghat was held on 13th and 14th July 2023. The programme aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of the faculty members and provide them with the necessary tools to excel in their teaching careers.
The inaugural function was hosted by Dr. Shilpa Samdurkar, IQAC Co-ordinator who served as the anchor for the event. The chief guest for the occasion was Dr. K. G. Rewatkar, Principal, Vidya Vikas College, Samudrapur and Dr. Sapana Jaiswal, Vice Principal, Vidya Vikas College, Samudrapur. The participation of esteemed guests added significance to the programme and set the tone for the sessions to follow.
On the first day, a session on “Strategic Planning: A roadmap ahead” was conducted by Dr. Shiny Chib, the Director and Research Head of Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies, Nagpur. Dr. Chib shared her insights and expertise on the topic, enlightening the faculty members about the importance of strategic planning in the education sector.
The second session, titled “Self Analysis and Management,” was conducted by Mr. Anurag Patankar, a freelancer facilitator associated with Nandi Foundation, Nagpur. Mr. Patankar provided valuable guidance on self-analysis and management skills, helping the faculty members understand how to effectively manage their time, resources, and personal development.
On the second day of the programme, a session on “Research Methodology” was conducted by Dr. Megha Kanetkar from C.P. & Berar College, Nagpur. Dr. Kanetkar shared her expertise in research methodology, guiding the faculty members on conducting research, collecting data, and analyzing findings for academic purposes.
The final session of the programme focused on the “New Education Policy” and was conducted by Dr. Ajay Kulkarni from C.P. & Berar College, Nagpur. Dr. Kulkarni enlightened the faculty members about the key aspects and implications of the New Education Policy, providing them with valuable insights into the recent changes in the education system.
The valedictory function marked the conclusion of the Faculty Development Programme, hosted by Dr. Nikhade with Dr. Bhende delivering the vote of thanks. The programme proved to be a success, as it helped the faculty members expand their knowledge, acquire new skills, and stay updated with the latest trends in the education sector.
Under the guidance and leadership of the chairpersons of the faculty development programme Dr Nayana Shirbhate, Dr. Ramteke, Dr. Karmore, Dr. Somnathe the programme was smoothly coordinated. The organizing committee of FDP Dr. Ambatkar, Mrs. Awaghade and Dr. Karmore played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of the programme. Their dedication and efforts deserve appreciation for making this event a resounding success.
