Event Objectives

  1. To introduce participants to the foundational elements of Marathi grammar, such as its three genders (masculine, feminine, and neuter) and the Subject-Object-Verb (SOV) word order, which differs from English.
  2. To explain how nouns inflect for gender, number, and case, and how verbs change with tense (past, present, future).
  3. To make students aware of the eight grammatical cases in Marathi (nominative, accusative, instrumental, dative, ablative, genitive, locative, and vocative) and their specific functions.

Event Outcomes

  1. To help participants apply grammatical rules correctly in both spoken and written Marathi, enhancing overall communication skills.
  2. For audiences preparing for competitive exams, a key objective is to practice Marathi grammar MCQs and understand the types of questions commonly asked in tests like the MPSC.
  3. To discuss the origins of Marathi grammar, acknowledging the significant contributions of figures like Dada’s Pandurang Tarkhadkar, who is known as the “Panini of Marathi Grammar”.

Event Briefs

Guest lecture was organized by Marathi Department on Marathi Grammar. Proceeding was done by Miss Bhagyashri Sabale, head of Marathi Department. For this, we invited Miss Punam Burile from Vidya Vikas Junior College, Hinganghat. He told about Development of Language Skill through Marathi Curriculum. President of this program was Dr. Sapana Jaiswal mam. She guided students about key measures of language development. Anchoring was done by Miss Rohini Sontakke and Vote of thanks was done by Miss Mayuri Deogirkar. All teacher staff from Arts Department present for this program.
