Brief Description

“Matoshi Ashatai Kunawar women’s college and Innerwheel Club Hinganghat jointly organized a guest lecture on “Sexual Harassment and Mental Health Improvement” under the ICC Committee.

 Dr. Rekha Nanotkar was the chief guest and guide. The program was attended by Dr. Umesh Tulaskar, Principal of Matoshi women’s college, Dr. Sapna Jayaswal, Vice Principal, Dr. Nayana Shirbhate, Vice Principal of Vidya Vikas college, Samudrapur, ICC Committee Coordinator Prof. Darshana Rendhe, and NSS Department Head Bhageshri Sabale.

Dr. Rekha Nanotkar enlightened students on identifying and preventing sexual harassment, improving mental health, and building resilience. The interactive session promoted open discussion and awareness. She also explained what mental health is, how people think, feel, and behave, and how mental health professionals can help manage conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and addiction. Dr. Nayana Tulaskar, Moderator of ICC Committee, explained the POSH Act – Workplace Sexual Harassment of Women (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act 2013 and the importance of ICC Committee in preventing sexual harassment. The program was successfully conducted with the cooperation of ICC and NSS Department faculty, staff, and students.”
