The purpose of celebrating International Women’s Day in college is to recognize women’s achievements, advocate for gender equality, and inspire a sense of solidarity. Celebrating women helps inspire students, especially young girls, to believe in their potential and aim for success. When students learn about the accomplishments of women in various fields, they are encouraged to pursue their own dreams, regardless of gender. Celebrating women raises awareness about gender equality. It teaches students the importance of fairness, equal opportunities, and the value of respecting all individuals, regardless of gender. This fosters an environment of respect and inclusion in schools and communities. International Women’s Day celebrated to honor the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women around the world, while also raising awareness about gender inequality and advocating for gender equality. The day serves several important purposes.
