Event Briefs

At Matoshri Aashatai Kunawar Arts, Commerce and Science Women’s College, Hinganghat, the Department of Home Economics organized a Modak Making Competition and Nutrition Week celebration on 29th August 2025. The program was presided over by the Principal of the college, Dr. Umesh Tulsakar. The chief guests included Vice-Principal Dr. Nayana Tulsakar, President of Inner Wheel Club Kumud Vyas, Sarika Dongre, Vice-Principal Dr. Sapna Jaiswal, Dr. Rekha Nanwatkar, and Head of Arts Department Miss Bhagyashree Sable. On this occasion, Dr. Rekha Nanwatkar gave special guidance to the students on the importance of nutrition. Dr. Nayana Tulsakar also addressed the students and provided valuable insights. The students participated enthusiastically, preparing a wide variety of modaks and showcasing their culinary skills. In the competition, Miss Vaishnavi secured the first prize, Samruddhi Duddhe won the second prize, and Khemika Parkhi won the third prize. The program began with an introduction by Miss Asha Ghate, Head of the Home Economics Department. The event was compered by Miss Meenakshi Pawade, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Miss Meenakshi Jidgilwar. The wholehearted cooperation of the faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students contributed to the grand success of the program.
