Event Briefs

Matoshri Ashatai Kunawar Arts, Commerce, and Science Women’s College, Hinganghat, organized an event on 28/02/2025 to celebrate National Sciences Day 2025. National Science Day is celebrated every year for memorizing the discovery of Raman Effect by Sir C. V. Raman. It is a festival for Science lovers as so many conferences, symposiums, guest lectures, seminars, poster presentations, model exhibitions as well as quiz competitions are organized in various places in India to get a platform for recent innovations in applied and basic science.

The event was graced by President of Program Dr. UmeshTulaskar Sir, Principal of Matoshri Ashatai Kunawar Arts, Commerce and Science Women’s College, Hinganghat, Chief Guest Shri. Durgaprasad Yadav Sir, Maths Trainer from IIT, Mumbai. Guest of Honor Shri. Nitesh Rode Sir, Principal, Vidya Vikas School and Junior College, Hinganghat, Ms. Shital Dharmik, Head of Science Dept., Ms. Vaishali Tadas, Head of Commerce Dept., Ms. Bhagyashri Sable and all faculties of Science Department and students.

The event was started with the Inauguration of Models and Posters Exhibition by the Chief Guest, Shri. Durgaprasad Yadav Sir. All the respected dignitaries enthusiastically observed the models and posters made by students. Educational Models includes models related to zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Maths made by students. The posters include the sketches of various Scientists and their contributions to the Science.

The program was anchored by Ms. Tejaswita Sahastrabudhhe. Ms. Shital Dharmik gave the introduction of respective program. Shri. Durgaprasad Yadav Sir was guided students about National Science Day. Sir beautifully explained the importance of Science by giving examples of some Scientists like Einstein, Addison etc. All the respected Chair persons gave best wishes of National Science Day and explained the importance of Science in our day to day life. Dr. Umesh Tulaskar stated that Science is a Boon when we use it wisely but if we have done misuse of Science then it will surely converted into Curse. Also he says that, we have to explore more ideas in our field so that new innovations could take place.

The Science quiz competition was also organized for students and conducted by

Ms. Shraddha Borkar. In the quiz competition, questions related to various streams of science were asked. The students who gave correct answers awarded with a gift by Chair Persons present on Dias.

At last, words of gratitude towards all were expressed by Ms. Samiksha Pawar. The program was concluded with National Anthem.

All faculty members of Science Dept. including Ms. Pranita Ashtankar, Ms. Darshana Rendhe, Ms. Anushri Bhoyar, Ms. Sneha Sangole, Mr. Rakesh Lonkar, Ms. Harshada Raut, Ms. Vaidarbhi Ghungrud, Ms.Kiran Kashti, Ms. Rohini Borkar, Ms. Komal Nandurkar, Ms. Ambika Thavari and Ms. Mayuri Dhonde and students of UG and PG from the Arts, Commerce, and Science departments attended the event and contributed to the event’s success.
