Event Briefs

On the occasion of the birth anniversaries of Rajmata Jijau and Swami Vivekananda, the National Youth Day was organized jointly by Matoshree Aashatai Kunawar Arts, Commerce & Science Women’s College, National Service Scheme (NSS), ICC, and Vidya Vikas Junior College, Hinganghat. Dr. Umesh Tulsakar, President of Vidya Vikas Institution and Principal of the college, presided over the program. The program was attended by Vice-Principal Dr. Sapna Jayswal, Chief Mentor Prof. Ganesh Ingole, Vice-Principal of T.I.S.T. Prof. Rakesh Satone, National Service Scheme Program Officer Prof. Bhagyashree Sable, ICC Committee Coordinator Prof. Darshana Rendhe, Head of Commerce Department Prof. Vaishali Tadas, and Head of Science Department Sheetal Karmore. The program began with the worship of the statues of Rajmata Jijau and Swami Vivekananda and the lighting of lamps.

The chief guide of this program, Prof. Ganesh Ingole, elaborated to the students on the significance of the life and work of Rajmata Jijau and Swami Vivekananda. Dr. Sapna Jaiswal, who presided over the event, guided the students to internalize the inspiration of Rajmata Jijau and Swami Vivekananda’s work in their own lives. The program was compered by Prof. Meenakshi Pawade, the introductory speech was delivered by Prof. Bhagyashree Sable, and the vote of thanks was given by Prof. Poonam Burile. For the success of the program, the active participation of the college faculty, non-teaching staff, and students was acknowledged.
