Event Briefs

At Matoshri Aashatai Kunawar Arts, Commerce and Science Women’s College, Hinganghat, ‘National Service Scheme (NSS) Day’ was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The program was chaired by Dr. Umesh Tulsakar, President of Vidya Vikas Education Society and Principal of the college. The chief guests included Mr. Abhay Dandekar, Taluka Coordinator of the NSS; Dr. Sapna Jaiswal, Vice Principal of the college; and Miss Bhagyashree Sable, NSS Program Officer. The program began with the lighting of the lamp and the University Song. In the introduction, Miss Bhagyashri Sable explained the objective of NSS, stating that true service lies in becoming one with society and working for it. On this occasion, Miss Tanuja Bahure (C.R.), Miss  Deepika Pantawane, and Miss Khemika Parkhi (Vice C.R.) were felicitated. In his keynote guidance, Prof. Abhay Dandekar explained the importance of National Service to the students. Vice Principal Dr. Sapna Jaiswal gave detailed information about the work and activities of NSS. In his presidential address, Dr. Umesh Tulsakar explained the meaning of the NSS motto “Not Me But You”, urging students to remain active in society and earn a good reputation for themselves. The program was anchored by Miss. Meenakshi Pawade, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Miss. Sangita Landge. For the success of the program, co-program officers Miss. Pratibha Dubey, Miss Ambika Thawari, and all NSS volunteers extended their cooperation.
