The Program is Intellectual Property Right Workshop organized by Matoshri Ashatai Kunawar Women’s College, Hinganghat was held on 22rd April 2025. The programme aimed to educate participants about the importance of IPRs and how to protect their intellectual creations. This includes understanding different types of IPRs like patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets, and how they contribute to innovation and economic growth. Workshops also aim to promote awareness of IPR laws, filing procedures, and the benefits of registering intellectual property.
The Inaugural function was hosted by Prof. Komal N. Nandurkar, Matoshri Ashatai Kunawar Art’s, Commerce & Science Women’s college, Hinganghat. The chief guest for the occasion was Prof. Dr. Mahendra Gunde Sir, Tulaskar College of Pharmacy, Hinganghat & Prof. Dr. Nayana Shirbhate Madam, Vice-Principle of Vidya Vikas Mahavidyalaya, Samudrapur. Prof. Dr. Sapna Jaiswal Madam , Vice-Principal of Matoshri Ashatai Kunawar Art’s, Commerce & Science Women’s college, Hinganghat welcome & Felicitate the guest and gave brief introduction about Chief Gust and Overview of program. The participation of esteemed guests added significance to the programme and set the tone for the sessions to follow.
The introductory session was taken by the speaker (Prof. Dr. Mahendra Gunde Sir). In this session, a complete introduction on intellectual properties, intellectual property laws & their clauses. In this session, the faculty were taught about the Intellectual Property Rights & their principles. Also the faculty were given enough information about how to use this knowledge to proceed forward in a startup company. Also they have been taught how to use intellectual property laws in case of injustice and the legal options available in Indian judicial system.
Complete information on intellectual properties like patent, copyright, trademark, design, trade secret etc was given. Also the speaker explained the difference between these topics, also the validity for each right, judicial laws available under each right & the limitations of each right.
This session was conducted by IPR Prof. Pranita Ashtankar Madam This was an activity session for the Faculty where faculty were given an activity to come up with an innovative idea, solution for the given problem statements. Also the facultys were needed to inculcate how the faculty can use the above taught intellectual property rights, claim the benefits & get security in their startups. The program was concluded by the valedictory session which was undergone in presence of Prof. Anushri S. Bhoyar, IPR coordinator where each participant was awarded by a certificate of participation. Also each faculty organizer was awarded by a certificate of appreciation.
