Department of Physics of Matoshri Ashatai Kunawar Arts, Commerce and Science Women’s College, Hinganghat had organized a study tour at Raman Science Centre, Nagpur. The main purpose of this tour was to enhance student’s knowledge and to encourage independent learning in students. At Raman Science Centre, all students keenly observed various small experiments and learned Science behind that. The center was developed to promote a scientific attitude, portray the growth of science and technology and their applications in industry and human welfare, and hold science exhibits. The centre is named after famous Nobel Prize winner Indian physicist Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman. Here Physics is no more a subject but an experience. Here Physics is a thing to play with & learn Here one is free to spend a whole day in play with hands-on exhibits- press lever, turn wheels, roll balls, pull strings, press the buttons, look through the peepholes to make science work & enjoy. One can discover that, here concept of Physics is different. It is sheer fun Some shows organized over there for students. In those, 3D Science Show Science on a Sphere (SOS) is a spherical projection system that presents high-resolution video on a suspended globe rather than a flat screen, with the aim of better representing global phenomena. Animated images of atmospheric storms, climate change, and ocean temperature are shown on the sphere to explain these complex environmental processes. Next show was Science on Sphere, in which our Galaxy and its Planets
including Mars, Venus, Earth and all planets with their Natural Satellites were explained with the help
of a large sphere. All students were observed these shows and enjoyed the study tour
